AAATE signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the establishment of the ENTELIS Network
On the 19th of October 2016 in Brussels, just before the end of the ENTELIS project in 2016, AAATE together with two other European umbrella organisations (EASPD and EVBB) signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the establishment of the ENTELIS Network. The network has a structure similar to that of the European Innovation Partnerships and involves organisations with different backgrounds (education, social care, technology, research, advocacy, etc.) committed to full digital inclusion of persons with disabilities and older adults. This involves the removal of barriers of all kinds and the empowerment of people, including the development of digital competencies that allow them to participate in the digital society. Interested organisations can formalize their membership by committing work such as sharing their best practice, developing innovative policies, strategies and tools to reduce the digital divide. Each year a Call for Commitments will be launched through the ENTELIS website.
