The International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD) is a great opportunity to update you about progress and status in planning ICCHP-AAATE, the Joint International Conference on Digital Inclusion, Assistive Technology & Accessibility, scheduled for July 11-15 2022 in beautiful Lecco, Italy. 

After an online ICCHP 2020 and a cancelled AAATE 2021, we joined forces in organising this joint 2022 conference to tap into the full potential of our expert communities in digital inclusion, assistive technology and accessibility by providing a platform to learn from and complement each other, find synergies and new ways for co-operation. 

Bringing together a wide range of stakeholders, the 2022 conference offers a many different ways of engaging: 

• Scientific Papers, which can be submitted for publication in multiple channels (Springer LNCS, Open Access Compendium, Journal on Technology and Disability), presented at the conference and even become the corner stone for your own Special Thematic Session on exactly THE aspect of accessibility, AT and inclusion YOU are working on!
• the Inclusion Forum, which provides the space to organise product demonstrations and workshops, or educational sessions and policy panels
• Cooperation options, which invite sponsors and relevant organisations to become partners in the promotion and organisation of the conference 
• and a collection of additional formats such as the Young Researchers’ Consortium, the ICCHP and AAATE Awards and a joyful Social Programme full of networking opportunities!

We already received a great number of submissions, and are looking forward to receiving many more, including yours!

About the ICCHP-AAATE joint conference: 

The ICCHP-AAATE joint conference will take place July 11-15, 2022 at the premises of Politecnico di Milano, Polo Territoriale di Lecco (Italy). It focuses on Assistive Technology (AT), (e)Accessibility and Accessible ICT as well as social, economic and political Inclusion and Participation of people with disabilities and older adults. The conference highlights the role of technology for independent living, participation and inclusion and improved services and support.
