In 2025, the Association for the Advancement of Assistive Technology in Europe (AAATE) celebrates the 30th anniversary. To commemorate this milestone, the Technology & Disability journal invites contributions to a special issue dedicated to the State of the Art in Assistive Technology.

Part of it will be scoping reviews, summarizing and evaluating the existing research landscape in various assistive technology (AT) domains, ranging from AT for personal mobility and transportation to Human-Computer Interfaces in AT, and everything in between and beyond.
