18th AAATE Conference Technology for Inclusion and Participation for All: Recent Achievements and Future Directions

Nicosia (CY), 10-12 September 2025

AAATE’s bi-annual conferences are bringing together the wide range of stakeholders in the assitive technology (AT) field, including researchers, experts, practitioners, manufacturers, end-users, policymakers, and providers of assistive and accessible technologies. The conference has become the central platform for exchange, sharing results, learning together and get a holistic understanding of AT ecosystem. 

The Call for Papers has been opened and we are looking for your contribution on all aspects related to technology and disability across the value chain: Research, Design & Development, Production & Distribution, Service Delivery, Education & Training, and Use & Impact. 

The conference themes center around emerging and innovative AT products and solutions, artificial Intelligence and disability, AT in education and employment, global challenges in access to AT, as well as AT and wider social issues (e.g. gender, environment, conflict, etc.).

You can submit porposals for the Research Track, focusing on the presentation of scientific papers showcasing research outcomes, as well as conceptual and theoretical perspectives in all disciplinary areas in the field of assistive technology and accessibility. 

And/or the Inclusion Forum which builds on policy and educational sessions as well as the innovation area to capture important aspects of the AT ecosystem. 

Three important deadlines to start with

• proposals for Special Thematic Sessions (STSs) – deadline: 31 December 2024
• submissions to the Scientific Track – deadline: 31 January 2025
• proposals for the Inclusion Forum – deadline: 16 May 2025
