Call for participants for a European wide consultation on Challenges in AT Outcomes and Impact
As a founding member of the Global Alliance of Assistive Technology Organizations (GAATO), AAATE is actively supporting the Global Consultation on Grand Challenges in AT Outcomes and Impact. It will do so by organising a Regional Consultation for Europe involving many European AT stakeholders.
The principle aim of the consultation is to identify a set of challenges which address what is needed to be able to measure assistive technology outcomes and impact at the individual, community, local, national, and global level. Global grand challenges may address tools for data collection, data storage and use, outcomes related systems and their implementation, best practices, and policies.
The Global consultation process will help GAATO and its members (all non for profit AT focussed member organisations such as AAATE) to identify the most important area of action for the next decade. Action (research, policy development, education, etc.) that will be undertaken with the involvement of the AT community, the GAATO members and its members and coordinating with relevant international organisations, such as the WHO (GATE programme).
The consultation will be held online during 2 sessions of 2 hours each:
23 and 27 September 2021 (both days 10.00-12.00 CEST).
Breakout discussion rooms will be facilitated in English, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese and upon request in other languages.
