Projects

AAATE is committed to take part in projects. It is seen as a strategic opportunity to reach the objectives outlined in the constitution for the benefit of his members and the field AT as a whole. AAATE therefore is happy to discuss and negotiate with consortia, companies, associations and other organizations the participation in projects which show potential to advance Assistive Technology in Europe.

Current projects

  • AI4H (Artificial Intelligence 4 Home Carers)
    • The AI4H project aims to improve the level of knowledge of informal caregivers about existing applications based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) engines that can find application in daily caring activities of the elderly people.
  • UPGRADE (Unlocking Potential through Gaming, Research, Accessibility, Development and informal Education)
    • The UPGRADE project brings together youth organisations, assistive-technology experts and research partners to co-develop an inclusive digital hub, training resources and focus groups (workshops) that make gaming accessible and empowering for young people – especially those at risk of social exclusion. Over 30 months (Sep 2025–Feb 2028) we will build practical tools, run co-creation labs and share evidence-based strategies to support youth workers, educators and developers.
